Torpedo is a record label
from Malmö in Sweden.
Although we are into many styles of music the label releases just
melodic pop.
We think that there is so much great pop, powerpop, garage rock,
modpop, surf etc that has been made, and are being made right now
that don't get the attention it deserves in the media today.
Therefore we have also decided to include articles and reviews on
this site. Both old and new, as a good song is always a good song
whenever it was made. Good music is timeless.
Ever since we started we have had our “mailorder section”
in which we have sold mostly imported records and titles that could
be hard to get here in Sweden or even Europe.
We will continue with this and are always interested in hearing
from and helping other small labels and bands, that we like, to
get some distribution here in Sweden.
I am also writing for the swedish fanzine/magazine Ettnollett (they
started in 1984). Apart from reviews and articles I also write a
“pop column”.
So if you want please send review copies of CDs, 7” and other
stuff you’d like us to consider to the address above.
And make sure that I am on the mailing lists that you use to announce
forthcoming releases.
Most reviews will appear in Ettnollett a while before they will
be published on this site. |
